Olly Lewis - Composer / Singer/Songwriter / Teacher

I am a very passionate, creative and caring person who always thrives in selfless and altruistic settings. I strongly believe in the power of creativity as a means of self-expression and how this, in turn, can promote positivity and equality whilst ensuring that every individual voice gets heard. I get an immense sense of satisfaction from problem solving and from doing just that little more to help make someone’s day. My attention to detail is never sacrificed and I have good punctuality and time management skills. I believe my infectious enthusiasm would be an asset in any workplace.

My creativity is mainly channelled through Music and I have had the pleasure of teaching, composing and performing professionally. I have composed an original musical ‘The Craft of the Cooper’, which was taken to Edinburgh Festival 2015, I have toured around Europe conducting choirs, I continue to perform as part of an Alternative Folk Trio called Tenderlore and I have previously performed at Glastonbury Festival and the Royal Albert Hall. Alongside my passion for Music, I am also a huge advocate for the role that technology plays and will continue to play in all of our lives. I have experience working with music software (e.g. Logic, Sibelius), game design software (e.g. Unity, FMOD) and an interest in video editing. As a teacher, I have discovered my passion for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) technology. I have experienced how enabling and liberating AAC can be for all kinds of learners which has led to me developing tools of my own. To teach and support others in both embracing the possibilities presented by technology and discovering their own means of self-expression is my greatest passion of all.

Creative Thinker: I am a very creative individual who often thinks outside of the box in order to find solutions to problems. The very nature of my current employment requires that I can adapt quickly and challenge myself regularly.

Team Player: I amquicktoembracemyownrolesandresponsibilities but I also thrive as a team player. My interpersonal skills ensure that I maintain healthy relationships with my colleagues and that I collaborate with them in the most efficient and constructive way possible in order to reach a collective goal.

Empathetic Character: I am a very caring and considerate person who often puts the needs and happiness of others first. Whilst respecting my own self, I am a strong believer in treating people the way I would like to be treated myself in order to establish a true sense of trust and mutual respect for one another
